About me...

When my mom had her first heart attack, I was about 14-15. I took over the cooking, and my poor mother... lol, she was my guinea pig! she objected only ONCE, when I'd forgotten to remove the garlic slivers from the roast pork. But everything else, she ate. It was rather interesting, as her boyfriend at the time was a particular eater, so I had to juggle, and truth be told, I LOVED it! I miss it. I hate cooking for ONE person. So, its one reason I decided to share on here. Maybe I can reach back in time, and remember some of the stuff I made (some people tell me these "experiments" were awesome. sure! My two things I would LOVE to remember and do again is: my homemade deep fried chicken seasoning. man was that good (no I didn't take notes then, don't you know at 15 you KNOW and remember everything?) and the other was the wildest most awesome strawberry mousse... it tasted like REAL wild strawberries! not the tennis balls we get at the store. When Ruby's strawberry farm reopens, I'm gonna have to experiment again! :) My mom is gone now, so there's not much to cook for. One of my greatest joys is making something for a friend, and giving it to them. Maybe one day, I'll have a family of my own to cook for... until then, sharpen the knives, and season the wok!

Thanks to Kendrah Tulloch for the ladybug pic :)
